It's like having a virtual pet that you can nurture and watch evolve. I love being able to customize the colors and attributes of my pet, and I'm also impressed with the variety of parameters that affect its behaviour. When he eats, parts of his body morph into a new shape and his skin changes color. If the new shape helps him catch food better, the changes will be selected for. So as time goes by your VI will evolve into a new and unique creature, specific to your system.
