Description
An APRS client available for iOS devices and Mac desktops. It allows amateur radio operators to report position, status, weather, and more in real time using packet communication. With a software-based TNC, you can capture, visualize, encode, and transmit packets using a VHF radio transceiver. Access the global APRS-IS network to send and receive packets over the Internet. View incoming data on a map, check object information, messages, and bulletins. Monitor moving objects and get real time weather reports.

PocketPacket started as an APRS client for iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad devices, but is also available for the Mac desktop or laptop. The "Automatic Position Reporting System" is a packet communication protocol used by amateur radio operators (hams) around the world, to report position, status, station capabilities, weather or other information in real time. Packets can also be used for broadcasting announcements or one-to-one messaging.
